By default, it is assumed to be 6.226% of the mass of the finished welded plate sections, a value corresponding to the quantity calculated for the reference FDES (Fiche de Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire [environmental and health declaration sheet]).

The finished welded plate sections is obtained by shaping the industry steel beam, in particular with the addition of fasteners and reinforcements, by the metal constructor. It corresponds to the product leaving the workshop, which is then transported and then assembled on site.
